A  legal counsel for a major bank ing institution.

The Position

As Legal Counsel you will:
· mainly be involved in the procurement related activities . You will prepare and maintain provider agreements such as advisory agreements, distribution agreements, rebate agreements, placement agreements, IT agreements, consultancy agreements, confidentiality agreements and others;
· fulfill a legal advisory role
· take on a compliance role
· manage any contentious legal matters arising (litigation, arbitration, client claims, class actions)
· participate in multidisciplinary projects

Your Profile
· You obtained a Belgian Master in Law
· You have at least 3 years of experience as a lawyer and/or inhouse legal counsel and are familiar with various types of agreements
· You are fluent in English, Dutch and/or French
· Knowledge in asset management legal issues, financial law, outsourcing (EBA guidelines), IT & sourcing is a plus
· You are a teamplayer and have perseverance
· You are analytical en have a critical mind
